Department of Statistics was established in the year 2018. At that time, Mr Swapan Bhattacharjee was the head of the department, who alone managed and had taken care of the department for almost 2 years. Mrs Binita Debroy joined the department in the year 2020 who continued for 2 years and then left in the year 2022.
In 2021, Mr Amirul Islam joined the department and have been given the responsibility of the department after Mr Swapan Bhattacharjee left the college in the year 2022. Miss Pranasmita Kakati joined on 09th March, 2023 as a part time lecturer, and working till date along with Mr. Amirul Islam.
